Article marketing services are used to generate backlinks to websites, resulting in them to rank higher in the search engines for their selected keywords. Users submit articles that are in turn submitted to many various websites. These websites link back to the user’s website, creating the effect that his is a legitimate authority on the subject.

Article marketing services understand that search engines look for relevancy when calculating rank on their results page. They know that relevancy is in large part established by the number of backlinks citing a selected website. As Google’s founder put it, it’s like when an academic paper is cited by others. A student himself at the time, he recognized that relevancy online can function in the same manner reputation does in academia.

Article marketing services were born soon after that to take advantage of this insight. Of course, Google has since gone on to be much more advanced in how they compute relevancy, making them the one search engine most resistant to gaming, but the heart of their algorithms is still informed by such notions. Therefore, it is possible to set up your own network of websites that link back to a site you’d like to promote, creating an authoritative notion.

This is what article marketing services do. Your article appears on all the sites that make up their network. So suppose you sell widgets. You write an article on widgets, that contains backlinks to your site associating your keyword, “widgets,” with your site “widgets.com.” Now using an article marketing service, your article on widgets gets published by all the sites in the network. This creates the impression, to search engines, that your article is being cited by all these different places – surely you must be an authority on the matter!

Surely, just as it doesn’t help to be cited by a no-name publisher in academia, nor does it help to have just any ol’ website host your article. And thus, when picking an article marketing service it’s crucial to use one that has a network of powerful sites, websites already well-regarded by the search engines. After all, who would you trust to learn more about widgets from, a website that just came online a week ago or a website that has been around for years?

And not just that, of course, but a website that may itself be cited by other well-regarded sites (“cited” as per the number of quality backlinks it itself bears), or a website that is devoted exclusively to widgets and covers nothing else, or a website that…you get the idea.

It’s about trust.

So when picking an article marketing service to use, it’s important that the company actually maintains not just a network, but a quality network, one that will provide your site with quality backlinks which cause search engines to regard your site with favor.

The Simple Things

Sometimes simple does it. Sometimes it’s the simple things that are so successful. And such is the case with easy amusements, those casual sort of attractions that are so simple it’s surprising they are so entertaining, too – though not too surprising as you imagine the exhilaration of walking, as if suspended in mid-air, a thousand feet above street level, taking in a bird’s-eye view of a city like Sydney, Australia.

For such is the case with two of Zalman Silber’s creations, the Skywalk and The Edge. Though one is in the open air while the other is an enclosed affair, respectively, they both get your blood rushing with the kind of excitement that comes from looking at the floor and seeing a thousand feet beneath you.

One does not have to take in such tourist attractions like these Zalman Silber vehicles in order to enjoy some simple entertainment, of course. A walk through a nice big park can be just as invigorating. Remember that bored people are boring! They not only bore others but bore themselves. Indeed, the frame of mind that is bored is but a symptom of a deeper intellectual and even spiritual poverty, however momentary. Boredom is nothing but the failure of our imagination, or at least the temporary respite it takes, leaving us bereft of the awe which should properly accompany this journey of ours called life, a travel through many adventures of the soul.

And it is ironic, too, that for those with the richest inner lives easy amusements abound. You would think that intellectual sophistication and refined tastes should imply some rather complex interests, but true intelligence is able to enjoy entertainment both refined and earthly. And so it would seem that the true achievement is to cultivate one’s own mind, one’s own self, to be alive, truly alive.

For what is boredom but intellectual death? Yet the quiet mind is eternal, one that is not given to noise and other distractions. It is an interesting matter and likely the most subtle one of all, this problem of the mind. We are so full of questions – or not. But neither implies real intelligence, which is still – which is.

And so it is that one may enjoy a simple day in the park, simply enjoying the sun and wind. Truly, when one empties the mind, as the Ch’an Buddhists exhort, one can be at home anywhere. For what is boredom but a certain strangely passive restlessness, an irritating flame that does not consume nor subside?

Most people do not understand the timeless. In our quiet tired moments we receive small vague intimations of it, and some of us then search puzzlingly for more of it, but very few understand what it’s all about.

Gun safes are used to keep firearms and ammunition secure under lock and key. They prevent access and, in more robust models, prevent damage as well, most importantly during such catastrophes as flood or fire. Electronic locks as well as mechanical ones are available, though the mechanical variety is regarded to possess the highest of reliability. They are, however, more time-consuming to open, which might be a factor in emergency situations.

Gun safes used to be designed with looks in mind, and were as much a way to display one’s collection as they were to store it. Legal obligations in many jurisdictions have since placed an emphasis on safety and security, and many safes nowadays are built to blend into their surroundings or be otherwise invisible. For instance, some such safes can now be installed inside a closet or wardrobe, hidden behind a false wall. But old-fashioned display cases and cabinets are still available, with modified security features, for the avid collector eager to show off.

Whatever the style or purpose, however, such safes, cases, and cabinets must always be locked after use and should even be, where possible, bolted down, as the heaviest part of numerous designs is the door itself which, in the absence of firearms and munitions, might tip the whole structure over. Indeed, safety is an essential aspect of modern firearms ownership, and such considerations concern not only the quality of construction or thoughtfulness of design but installation and placement as well. Thus many individuals will order “white glove” services along with their safes, with professional setup and installation to ensure that no detail is compromised in creating a gun-safe environment!

Gun safes are a necessary part of the sport these days, and legally mandated in those places that even allow for the hobby. Owners can best vouchsafe their rights to firearms ownership by displaying not their weapons but their common-sense concerns for safety and security with well-made and placed gun safes.
